The Line constitutes a linear infrastructure that spans the train line in Sant Joan Despí, with the primary objective of extending the current park to the B-23 highway. This infrastructure accommodates a research center situated alongside the train line, focusing on the exploration of prototypes designed to harness and recover lost energy from transportation systems, particularly capitalizing on the energy generated by the train.

The infrastructure serves to establish longitudinal pedestrian connections from the B-23 to the park, while also facilitating transversal connectivity between the residential areas and the FCB through accessible crossings beneath the train tracks. The lightweight and permeable steel structure, along with the ETFE pillows, enable the creation of a controlled semi-interior park environment, accessible to pedestrians as they traverse the space.

In addition to this innovative design, solar panels are incorporated along the southern side of the facade, ensuring continuous energy generation throughout the year. The Line, as a comprehensive prototype, integrates various elements that harness energy from diverse sources, consolidating them within a singular linear structure.
